Scott Reaser

Principal

Scott Reaser is a Principal with First Annapolis Consulting, Inc. managing its strategic sourcing practice and also providing strategic advisory services to the firm's deposit access clients. Scott advises leading financial institutions, card issuers, merchant acquirers, payments processors and others on major initiatives such as vendor selection, in-house processing assessments, and card association brand selection. Likewise, Scott has detailed expertise assisting financial institutions, transactions processors, debit networks, and others develop effective strategies and tactics in the debit and ATM industries.

Scott has extensive payments industry consulting and strategic sourcing experience. Recent strategic sourcing engagements managed by Scott include: assisted two top 10 financial institutions evaluate and implement card association brand partnerships; assisted another top 10 financial institution evaluate in-sourcing credit, signature debit, and merchant processing; advised a leading credit card issuer in its selection process for on and off-shore back-office service providers (e.g., call center, application processing, fraud/risk management, etc.); managed the renewal process and contract negotiations for a leading credit union with its credit card and signature debit card processors; and managed on behalf of a top 10 financial institution a vendor selection process for signature debit card processing and related services.

Recent deposit access engagements include: assisted a leading service provider to credit unions develop its payments and debit services strategy; assisted a top 10 financial institution implement a selection process for PIN-debit network services; assisted another top 10 financial institution benchmark its signature debit and ATM driving functionality and capabilities relative to market providers; conducted a comprehensive POS debit issuer cost study on behalf of a leading service provider; and managed the sale of First Data Corporation's interest in NYCE Corporation.

Scott received his M.B.A. in Finance and Marketing from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. with Honors in Electrical Engineering from Boston University. Prior to joining First Annapolis, Scott was a regional account manager for Haemonetics Corporation, serving medical clients throughout the Midwestern U.S. and Canada, and was a Naval Officer in the distinguished U.S. Navy Nuclear Power Program.
