Joshua Gilbert is a Principal at First Annapolis. He concentrates on the firm’s payment strategy and deposit access practice. His primary areas of focus include debit card issuing, enterprise payments strategy, prepaid issuing, and mergers and acquisitions support. Recent assignments include evaluating the implications of the Durbin Amendment and assisting clients in developing mitigation strategies, developing and prioritizing strategic options for a payments network, evaluating an issuer’s debit portfolio and identifying opportunities for revenue enhancement, conducting a study of third party payment opportunities for a large bank, and developing an integrated prepaid strategy for a large regional bank. Josh’s experience on merger and acquisition engagements includes valuation and modeling, offering memorandum development, due diligence support, and negotiations assistance.
Prior to First Annapolis, Josh worked at American Management Systems. His work experience includes conducting implementations of decisioning platforms for large credit card issuers as well as developing several information technology strategies for clients. Mr. Gilbert received his M.B.A. from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia and his B.S., magna cum laude, in finance and international business from the University of Richmond.
