Lee Manfred manages the payment strategy and deposit access
practice as a Partner with First Annapolis Consulting, Inc.
Lee’s subject matter expertise focuses on deposit access
products and services, including signature and PIN debit issuing,
ATM deployment and network management, ACH, check electronification
and conversion, and prepaid/stored value products. His clients
include leading financial institutions, payment networks, card
associations, processors, retailers, and technology providers
in the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean, and Latin America, whom
he advises on diverse topics including payment strategy, product
and new business development, mergers and acquisitions, operations
benchmarking, vendor selection and negotiation, organization
design, financial analysis and valuation, and pricing strategies.
Lee has advised clients on a series of M&A transactions
that have changed the EFT network landscape, including the divestiture
of NYCE Corporation by First Data, as well as (First Annapolis
client listed first), Cash Station/Concord, Honor/STAR, Magic
Line/NYCE, ACS/GenPass, MoneyStation/PULSE, and Honor/MOST.
In addition, he has advised top 5 financial institutions in
the U.S. and Canada in Payment Strategy development and implementation.
Lee is a frequent speaker at leading industry conferences, such
as the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve’s Payment
Systems in Transition conference, The Federal Reserve Bank of
Philadelphia Payment Card Center payments forum, and Faulkner
and Gray”s ATM and Debit Card Forum.
Lee has over twenty years of consulting and retail financial
services experience. He earned an MBA from the George Washington
University, and a BBA from the University of Notre Dame, both
with concentrations in finance. He also attended the First American
Management Institute at the Wharton School of the University
of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining First Annapolis, Lee held
senior consumer lending positions with The Riggs National Bank
and First American Bank, N.A., and co-founded Education Funding
Services, Inc.
